Alexandra Burke, X Factor WinnerHallelujah! Alexandra Burke WON the X Factor on Saturday night. There were many tears flowing as she was crown the X Factor winner 2008 and a new superstar is born.

Alexandra Burke is just 20 years old but she is really talented. She sings like an old soul. Her version of hallelujah (also the winning single) was magnificent, it was soulful and like what Simon Cowell said “INCREDIBLE”. As many as 8 million votes were cast and Alexandra garner a massive 58% of these votes proving she is popular with the audience.

Of the whole finale show, the best moment was Alexandra singing a duet with her personal hero Beyonce. They sang “Listen” by Beyonce which is one of the most popular soundtrack songs in the world and it was amazing.

Alexandra Burke has come a long way being since being rejected 3 years ago in the X Factor and now the X Factor winner. This is just the beginning for this young star and I dare say she would be a superstar.

Kelly Rowland from Destiny's ChildShe told you all she was going to bump like this. Can’t say we weren’t warned. Kelendria Trene Rowland (Kelly) has definitely come a long way. Her recording career started out with her own friends Beyonce Knowles and Lativia Roberson who formed the Destiny’s child.

They had much success, releasing their own self-titled debut album in 1998 but what really put them in the starlight was their release of their second album,”Writings on the wall’. Best memories I’ve had with the Destiny’s child is throwing my hands up in the air for their song independent women and stomping my feet to “Survivor”.

Kelly released her first solo album, “Simple Deep” in 2002 and Ms. Kelly in 2007. Many of her singles from both albums got to the top 10 and top 20 charts. I’m a Kelly Rowland fan and I urge all who haven’t heard this beautiful, talented singer and even actress to start listening to her. Here’s a list of what I think are her best songs, in no particular order.

Top 10 Kelly Rowland Songs

Every genre with an Acoustic Twist!

Boyce Avenue

That is what you can expect when you listen to song covers by Alejandro Manzano of Boyce Avenue. Do you like rock music but can’t seem to nod your head to R&B? Feel you can never listen to classical pop music? I reckon you should try listening to Alejandro’s cover songs. With Alejandro, every genre of music becomes an equal. If you don’t like the beats of R&B, No PROBLEM! Can’t stand rock star vocals, No PROBLEM! He seems to effortlessly make all of them sound awesome.

Alejandro Manzano together with his brothers Fabian, Daniel and friend Stephen Hatker are the complete members of Boyce Avenue. They make their own music incorporating rock and acoustic styles and their album All You’re Meant to be was released March 25th this year. My two favorite songs of that album are “Hear Me Now” and “Change Your Mind”.

I’ll set you readers up with the direct link to some of their music. Listen and let me know what you think. Be sure to give each song a shot here.

Is it Cheryl Tweedy or Cheryl Cole?

Cheryl Cole, girls aloud

First of all, both of them are the same person. Cheryl Tweedy aka Cheryl Cole, is the wife of Ashley Cole and one of the members of Girls Aloud, arguably one of the best girl band in the world.

How did she a normal girl become a member of one of the BIGGEST girl band in the world? Well, in 2002, Cheryl auditioned for Popstars: The Rivals where at the end of the competition the winning 5 girls and the winning 5 boys would be in a pop band and needless to say Cheryl Tweedy was one of them.

She impressed the judges with her rendition of S Club 7’s “Have You Ever” and “There Is No Looking Back”. She has since been collaborating with big names like Will.I.AM, one of the members of the Black Eye Peas. She has been very successful with Girls Aloud.

Furthermore, she is the latest judge to join the X Factor and considered one of the best. So be on the watch for more surprises from this immensely talented woman.
