Hawk Nelson, pop punk band

Hawk Nelson a great but relatively unknown Canadian Christian pop punk band comprises of Jason Dunn who is the vocalist, Justin Benner who is the drummer, Daniel Biro the bassist and Jonathan Steingard the guitarist.

They are a great pop punk band, their music and lyrics are not only pleasant to the ears and also catchy. Their songs have been used in TV shows such as American Dreams as well as movies such as Yours, Mine and Ours and in the new film College.

Hawk Nelsons’ first album Letters from the President is a great album to have if you are a pop punk fan, as the songs in this album are fun and you cannot help but to bob your head to all of the songs in this great album. Songs from their second album Smile, It’s the End of the World is played regularly on Christian radio and their song “Everything You Ever Wanted” was at the top of the Christian charts.

Hawk Nelson is indeed one of the best pop punk bands in the world.

High School Musical 3: Senior Year Soundtrack

You must have seen the movie or even heard of High School Musical. If you don’t, means you have not caught the rippling sensation this phenomenon is bringing.

They are now back with a new original soundtrack, High School Musical 3: Senior Year. This third installment is the final year for the wildcats at East High School. As such, 10 original new songs are created featuring the whole cast members which result in a bigger production. This production has reached the theaters.

As usual, they have big song numbers such as “I Want It All” which features the whole cast in the movie. This track is sung by Ashley Tisdale and Lucas Grabeel.

Besides that, the only tracks that are considered pop are Vanessa Hudgens single, “Walk Away” and Zac Efron’s “Scream”.

The melodies of this songs are catchy which you can hum to it after listening a few times.

Songs that I recommend…

Hm, it should be the duet songs, “Right Here, Right Now” and “Can I Have This Dance” by Vanessa Hudgens and Zac Efron”. I love duet songs and I have to admit Vanessa has a good voice. So check this album out if you love duet songs like me! [This album include a dvd with bloopers]

KT Tunstall, female pop singer

Singer-song writer KT Tunstall is without a doubt one of the most talented female singers in the world. She can sing and also play the guitar very well.

KT Tunstall has been nominated for numerous awards such as Mercury Prize, the Brit Awards and even a Grammy Nomination for the Best Female Pop Vocal Performance.  She is famous for her songs “Black Horse and the Cherry Tree” and “Suddenly I See”.  These songs catapulted her into international stardom.

Not only is she well known for her songs, she is also well known for a live performance where she display great showmanship.

KTs’ live performance of her rendition of the Jackson 5 classic “I Want You Back” is truly amazing with many singing her praises.

It is not everyday you would come across a singer like KT who shows great professionalism and showmanship. So i guess that’s why she has tons of fans.

Pink's newest album, Funhouse

Ranked #2 this week on The Billboard 200 is… Pink’s newest album Funhouse!

What can you expect from Funhouse?
Hm… it is Pink’s newest album aka her divorce album. She seems to get over her breakup as her songs displayed her usual rock star spirit. This can be heard on her opening single “So What” which she try to show that she has abandoned her relationship and starting anew. (This is also one of my favourite song.)

She has forgotten about mourning as evident from her album. Her usual party pop style is back! She is ready to party again with the high tempo!

However, signs of separation can still be heard on tracks such as the blues-rocker “Mean” and “Please Don’t Leave Me”.

Anyway, Pink is ready to rock again and blast those speakers of yours. So grab a copy of her album now!

Leon Jackson

One moment he is working in a clothing store in Scotland. The next he is the season 4 winner of the talent show X Factor.

Who am I talking about? It’s Leon Jackson who has captured the hearts of people all around the world with his winning rendition of Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey’s “When You Believe”.

Leon is only 19 years old and has perform with some of biggest names in music such as Kylie Minouge and Michael Buble which is a big thing being that he picked up singing a year before he entered X Factor.

Like his idol Michael Buble, he sings a mixture of jazz, pop and adult contemporary. His first single from his debut album Right Now is “Don’t Call This Love”.

It is amazing and you would want to listen to it over and over again. After hearing it, you can know how much Michael Buble motivated him.

Many would agree that he still has the potential to be better than he is right now as age is on his side. But what do you think?

Leon has a bright future ahead of him and he is deemed as THE NEXT MICHAEL BUBLE.
