X Factor Winner Is… Alexandra Burke!
Hallelujah! Alexandra Burke WON the X Factor on Saturday night. There were many tears flowing as she was crown the X Factor winner 2008 and a new superstar is born.
Alexandra Burke is just 20 years old but she is really talented. She sings like an old soul. Her version of hallelujah (also the winning single) was magnificent, it was soulful and like what Simon Cowell said “INCREDIBLE”. As many as 8 million votes were cast and Alexandra garner a massive 58% of these votes proving she is popular with the audience.
Of the whole finale show, the best moment was Alexandra singing a duet with her personal hero Beyonce. They sang “Listen” by Beyonce which is one of the most popular soundtrack songs in the world and it was amazing.
Alexandra Burke has come a long way being since being rejected 3 years ago in the X Factor and now the X Factor winner. This is just the beginning for this young star and I dare say she would be a superstar.

Mr Magic Fingers, Maksim Mrvica
He leaves you awestruck often wondering if he’s for real Did his fingers really move that fast? Or was it just modern day camera trick?
Dear Readers, Maksim Mrvica is for REAL! His fingers really do move that fast and i can assure you even though the camera man might have been top class, there was no tricks involved.
Maksim Mrvica was born on 3rd May 1975. He started playing and taking up piano lessons at the age of nine. In the year 1991 he released his first album Gestures and in the year 2003, he released his second album the Piano Player. I have a total of 4 of his albums, The Piano Player, Variations Part I & II, The New World and Electrik.
The first song i heard off him was Flight of the Bumble-bee. He did an awesome remake of the original piece by Nikolai Rimsky Korsakov. He gave it an interesting twist. The thing i like most about his music is that he always seems to play a story and the listeners have the privilege of working out the story from his music. No right or wrong story just his music and you’re own perception.
Now it was hard to pick a piece that i like best because really he is one talented pianist. But my pick for readers out there to listen to, would be Nostradamus from his album the new world. I’m going to set you readers up with the link to his music video for Nostradamus below. Now if you thought you were not the classical music sort of person, i dare you to give him a go.
And if you are still wondering, its pronounced Makh-Seem Maravitsa!
Be Disturbed…
They have a good reputation among rock
band lovers and have a wicked attitude that you can clearly
hear from their music.
Madness was truly a gift given to them as
they,David Draiman (Vocals),Dan Donegan (Guitar)
and Mike Wengren (Drums) so skillfully seem to fit good lyrics
with groundbreaking powerful music together in an insane mix that speaks for itself.
Be it about greed, abuse, fear, violence, revolution and even politics
they cover it all in their music. They are like writers only their
words gets amplified as it is complimented with their music.
It is hard to think that they are able to compress all of their energy
into a compact disc. I personally always want more when i hit the end of the tracks.
I know for sure many avid fans like me are all psyched out by their new album, indestructible. And if you have heard it, you’re still listening to and are probably lost in their quality music. My favorite track off their new album is Night.
“In a world beyond controlling Are you going to deny the savior In front of your eyes? Stare into the night”

Avenged Sevenfold: Dear God!
A lonely road, crossed another cold state line
Miles away from those I love
Purpose hard to find
While I recall all the words you spoke to me
Can’t help but wish that I was there
Back where I’d love to be, oh yeah
Dear God the only thing I ask of you
Is to hold her when I’m not around
When I’m much too far away
We all need that person who can be true to you
But I left her when I found her
And now I wish I’d stayed
‘Cause I’m lonely and I’m tired
I’m missing you again
Yep, above is part of the song “Dear God”, from Avenged Sevenfold’s new Self titled album. They made their fans wait a whole two years before the release but I am very sure they had nothing to complain about after hearing the songs.
Avenged sevenfold, is a rock, metal band however this time, they have incorporated different music styles into their new album. You simply can’t get enough of them! I missed the opportunity to go see them live when they came down last month. However, I heard they rocked the max pavilion out. Fans who did go for the concert, do tell all our readers how it was and those who dint tell us how much you WISH YOU DID!
